Artist Statement

Photography is my key to the secret garden, my looking glass, my entrance to the otherworld.

I don’t always have a plan when I set out to take a photograph, I don’t always know what I am doing, but I do know that I want to find the unexpected. I want to step into that other world, and I want to capture what I find there there.

I love both the creative and technical side of photography and the hours spent both during and after a shoot patiently drawing the beauty out of a scene and creating that end image.

Whether it is the beauty of decay leaving a shadow of the past or the twitch of a squirrels little nose; I always take the time to look twice; and I hope that my images invite you to do the same as I bring you into a little piece my world.
